White Shirt Project - 1st Pattern

The Barcelona Blouse

Pattern from Brensan Studios

Back Cover

I decided on this pattern for my first project. I love the style.
It's a pattern from Brensan Studio. (They now have a blog)

I will make mine all white ~ no contrasting fabric.

The fabric I'm using is a white (slightly off white) silky corduroy.

I've never come across silky-corduroy, sounds gorgeous! Is it of silk composition, or is that the texture of the fabric you're describing? Corduroy is usually cotton, and silk corduroy would be just wonderful!

Your fabric sounds gorgeous.

This is a nice shirt pattern. I really like the cuffs on the sleeve and the way the collar is shaped. Your fabric choice sounds luxurious.

You've chosen a very pretty pattern:)

I really like the look of that pattern - the sleeves and the collar are lovely. It's always interesting to see patterns that aren't by the Big 4!

I absolutely love this pattern...can't wait to see this made up...are you going to raise the collar in back a little or leave it as is....is this the first time you've done this pattern?

That fabric sounds and looks beautiful. I've never heard of silky-corduroy and look forward to your Barcelona Blouse.

That sounds beautiful! I also saw silk velvet before, it looks like a warm cloth. By the way, I like the name of the blouse, Spanish, of course ..

I am anxious to see your version of this pattern. Pam of OffTheCuff made this a while ago, and it was beautiful. And congratulations on your dress form. Now, I womder if Claire was physically with you, fitting the form, or giving you advice via email? When you post about it, please let us know the difficulty of fitting the cover.

I haven't heard of a silk courdaroy~ it's beautiful! I can't believe I don't have one white piece of fabric to get started. I will get out before the weekend is up to get started on my first white shirt.
I can't wait to see your beautiful shirt when it's complete.
