I love the lines of this skirt.(View C). I'm making it in a very light weight jean fabric. The Jalie top will be the sleeveless one done up in a knit. When sewing is done in short sessions, and the project is simple, it's actually exciting that you can see progress :) in one sitting. In one night I easily traced the pattern, cut out my fabric and sewn the skirt fronts. It's great :) I met a young lady today, who just happens to make beautiful garments and I wanted to share her site with you. . . Erin drafts, designs and sews them up herself and sells these creative garments on Etsy. ... .She is very talented.... Enjoy!

Just a quick note to check in. I hope everyone is having a great week so far.
I decided my next project would be a fairly easy and hopefully a quick one, so I picked this Burda skirt and a Jalie top.

Great lines in the skirt. It will make up beautifully in denim. I checked the site you mentoned. Wow--she makes beautiful fabric embellishments! Lots of rushing and braids. Wonderful!
There's a lot to be said for simple sewing!!! It helps me return to sanity after an intense project. Cute patterns
Ahhhh the simple life, go for it girl!
Woawzoo ! What a great skirt. As for Jalie's top, always a sure shot. As for you Chanel jacket, I just noticed you posted it. I am too tired tonight for a long comment. I will be back soon. good night. Anne-Marie or Anne if you prefer.
Thank you for the link, it's fantastic! Looking forward to seeing your latest projects; the skirt looks so original and beautiful!
That skirt has really nice lines! Can't wait to see the finished product!
I've been looking for a pattern similar to this skirt, so my visit to your blog is very timely. I've had an inspiration photo on the wall of my sewing room for ages and this skirt is almost it! I absolutely love your blue jacket. The fabric is beautiful and your work is incredible. My jackets never look quite right, but you've inspired me to try again. The colour really suits you, too!
The shape of skirt is so lovelly, can't wait to see it done!
Love the skirt. Detail in garments is what attracts me.
I just discovered your blog. I love it. I will be back.
Also, loved your blue jacket. I am coming back into sewing after many years out of it so I am loving this inspiration.
