Back Yard Visitors !

These friendly visitors showed up in our back yard around
supper time.
They dined at our bird feeders
and then promptly waddled off to our little pond.....

......where they appear to be spending the night.

They brought some sunshine to a dreary ~ cold ~ rainy ~ day.

Oooh they are so sweet! We saw a male and female pair of mallards on a walk yesterday, and I commented to my husband that male mallards' heads' are the most amazing color of green....

Cute! Isn't it special to have wildlife choosing to hang out in your backyard? And I agree, the colour of the male mallard plumage is something else.

I had some visitors like that in my back yard pool one year...They nearly drove my little schnauzer (not a water dog) nuts, as he was chasing them around all sides of the pool. I thought they were cool till I started seeing all the "doo-daa" they were leaving in the bottom of the pool, then I didn't think they were so cool!

We've had a heron visit our yard, we were pretty thrilled but confused, no ponds in our yard, just bird baths.

How pleasant visit! Where I live there are wild ducks, they are really beautiful!

Oh That is so sweet. Don't you love wildlife. We have deer that act as our pets. They even look through our windows.

Hey, I saw your red dress posted, but now I can't find it?! It looked fabulous; classy, chic and simply oh-so elegant!!
Thankyou for your lovely comments! I take nearly all my photos during my morning walk, I'm just lucky to live near a very picturesque river and park!
