Keeping in touch
Every one has adjusted well to the move....so all is great! We are still pretty busy setting up the house like we want. We are still very much in a just moved in mode - but little by little we are getting the job done!
I am making some progress with my sewing room. Instead of building a room we decided for now to use a room that is available in this house and work with what we have.
There is definitely a time issue right now ,with working full time and just every day living that this works out much better. I still end up with a great room and lots of space. The previous owners used this room as their family room, so I now have a wood stove in my sewing room. I will be toasty warm this winter in my room :)
As far as "stuff"......... I cannot believe how much I have. I am grateful but I see I really need to slow down my "collection" as my husband calls it. I know I am not the only one with this issue - it is amazing how many boxes I ended up packing from my sewing room.....and I am still
unpacking them and going through every- little-thing and deciding on what I'll keep and what I'll part with.
I'm actually having fun doing this sorting - once I am done I just really want to sew.
I have been trying to keep up with reading and commenting on blogs but I haven't had a great amount of time for this either. Once the house is set up I'm sure it will free up some time and all will get back to normal.
Till then........

Welcome! I have desire of which you return!
good to hear from you. good luck settling in.
Welcome back. How exciting to have a new sewing room!
Good to hear from you! All the organization will make sewing that much more enjoyable when you get back to it.
Much luck to you getting settled in your new home. You'll be so organized when you're ready to start sewing again. Isn't that something to look forward to?
Enjoy the 'moving in' period, when we moved into our house, it was great fun setting everythin up. But maybe that's because it is our first house - lots of excitement. Is it any different (just more work) when it's not your first house ?
Hi! (waving madly)
Glad to see you are settling in...
This is the part that I always want to rush through...the unpacking but enjoy setting up your new sewing room!!!
Hi Ann,I was so hoping you'd give us a peak at your new house.I'm so glad you have a room that can be your sewing room.It will feel wonderful, I imagine after you've sorted out everything and know what you have. Being organized is so conducive to sewing I find. ( not that I'm always organized but how I try.)See you soon I hope. I'm working Friday, but in the drapery department ( Yuck)..
Glad you are settling in and that you enjoy your new sewing room. The wood stove will be wonderful this winter. You will never want to leave!
We last moved in 1989 - 20 years ago next weekend, actually - and I told my dearly beloved that I'm never moving again. I'm glad you have a nice space for sewing; I'm jealous of your wood stove!
OMG - you're moved in....just think you get to arrange everything all over again just the way you want it. Stuff - it's your artistic canvas and paints - it's not just stuff!!!
I'm happy to see that everything went well! I'll be in your shoes soon enough, I hope! I'm searching for a new house (a dedicated sewing space with extra storage for my growing stash is a must, lol!)
Congrats on the new sewing room, how exciting to begin from scratch!
Ann, it's when we cannot sew that we want to sew ! Happy for you and you soon to be sewing space!
Hi Ann, hope you're having a good time in your new space :)
I hope your move is going well.
Thank you Ann. And thank you for sending me that Threads's information - I will be referring to it on my Jacket journey.
